This most commonly used filter also reduces the effects of ultraviolet light and atmospheric dust and haze so that you can get improved contrast and color saturation from sunny landscapes, including mountain, marine and aerial scenes. Also used as a protection filter to keep the front lens element clean from dust, dirt, fingerprints and damage.
