The Platine Palatial Hand Carved Parlor Sofa is one of the most elaborate being made Today, measuring 76 wide X 36 depth X 60 inches tall. A beautiful example of a style of furnishings, originating in France about 1720, evolved from Baroque styling, This Rococo designed palatial settee is handcarved by some of the world's finest carvers in solid Mahogany and owners can take pride in having a work of hand made furniture art that took upward of 30 days to complete. Special attention was given to the depth of the carving, and the substantial girth of the wood carved. Few items for any price are made like this offering. The sofa settee is hand carved out of solid Mahogany that is then tastefully finished in our Platina finish and upholstered with an imported Cream Taffeta fabric.
